Riverside County sheriff’s deputies found an illegal indoor marijuana grow when they responded to an Anza residence to investigate a report of domestic violence at 4:12 a.m. Thursday, July 13, according to a sheriff’s news release.

They found Aaron Milldrum, 32, of Anza, with multiple lacerations to his face, arms and feet, which he suffered in an altercation with his girlfriend, whom he had assaulted, the release stated.

The girlfriend hit Milldrum several times in self defense to get him to stop. The girlfriend, who was not identified by name, was treated at a local hospital for her injuries and released.

Milldrum was treated at a hospital and then booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility near Banning.

He was arrested on suspicion of inflicting injury on a spouse or cohabitant, assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm and cultivation of marijuana. Bail is set at $50,000, according to jail records.
