Authorities are investigating a series of fires that erupted in Devore Monday morning, California Highway Patrol officials said.

As of 8:15 a.m., crews were working a total of five fires near Glen Helen Regional Park including one at Santa Fe Avenue and Devore Road, according to CHP reports. Four of the spot fires were extinguished and they were working on a fifth. No structures are being threatened and no injuries have been reported, officials said.

The fires were reported starting around 7 a.m. by several motorists traveling along the 215 Freeway near the 15 Freeway interchange, officials said. One of the fires was also spotted by a CHP helicopter.

Initial reports indicate someone was seen leaving the area and the person is being sought by authorities.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department is also responding to the area.
